The family room includes a flat screen television, sitting area, high top table with chips and cards for poker, and a wall of cabinets. There is also a sink (wet bar) and wine cooler. The room opens onto a porch with wooden rocking chairs and gliders. In addition to the recreational area, there are two bedrooms on the lower level. One room is on each side of the family room. The first bedroom includes two full sized beds. The second room is more of a suite with a king sized bed and bathroom. The bathroom includes a separate tub and shower and double vanity. This bedroom has a separate door to the outside porch. Here again, there is a view of the trees and is very private and peaceful. A grill is located on the porch as well. There are steps from the side of the yard that wrap around to the front of the home. The home is conveniently located and short distance to the clubhouse and golf course - great place to stay for two foursomes! Very Clean and relaxing place to stay. Completely private for the entire top floor. Which is about 2400 sqft of space. Entry way it's an spacious 2 car garage or the front of the house up the stairs through the front porch. This property has a basement which is not accessible. It is a separate rental. Close to lots of activities including Jocassee Lake, Devils Fork State park, Wildcat Falls, Table Rock state park, and trails for days. If you love the outdoors or a simply relaxing and quiet place to stay this is the place for you. Includes free access to the lake for boating, swimming, diving, kayaking, paddling, jet skying, etc.. The house is not on the lake and it doesn't have a dock . There is absolutely NO smoking in or outside the house and NO pets in the premises. Our Lake house is located in a small secluded gated community of Turtlehead. We are located on a safe cozy cove with easy access to the main body of Lake Keowee. Boating, Skiing and fishing are readily available immediately off our dock. The house is a very short walk to the dock and the lake, with approximately 20 steps from the house. The lake is also accessible by using a golf cart and a cart path from the driveway directly to the dock. Turtlehead also has a community boat launch with courtesy dock. There is a neighborhood pool right across the street. The home is great for a multi-generation vacation. Good access for all. Very kid friendly. Rocky Bottom is an unincorporated community located in northern Pickens County, South Carolina 16 miles north of Pickens, 7 miles south of Rosman, and 27 miles northwest of Greenville. Near the NC state line, on U.S. Highway 178 in the Blue Ridge Mountains, at an elevation of 1,750 ft. The Foothills Trail also makes its way through Rocky Bottom and there is an area for trail goers to park and experience the trail. This serene home is perfect for unplugging and is in the middle of the mountains so there is no public transportation and the closest store is 20 minutes away. If you are not a nature lover this may not be your place. Nearest large grocery store is in Pickens so make sure you bring all you need. There is also a small grocery store and a laundry mat 15 minutes away in Rosman, NC for basic needs as well as a Dollar General. There are a couple of restaurants within a 15-20 minute drive but they close early. You can drive to Brevard in 30 minutes. Please remember even though it has been remodeled it is still a very old home in the mountains so you will have floors that squeak and a few other things to that matter. We incorporated old items from before the remodel to add character to the home. We hope you enjoy our place as this is our favorite getaway. The Chattooga River along with Lake Jocassee, Lake Keowee and Lake Hartwell offer all types of aquatic adventures. Oconee County known as the land of waterfalls offers eight falls within a 12 mile radius of the cabin. Visit nearby Clemson home of the 2016 National Champions, see a game, shop or enjoy a meal in this college town. From you-pick farms, distillery tours, a micro-brewery, white water rafting to canopy tours we have something for everyone. However; spending a day on the porch overlooking the lake watching the hummingbirds and butterflies and the occasional deer walk through the yard is often a preferred way to spend the day. Summer nights are lit up with lightening bugs and the sounds that can only be made in the mountains on the water. If you want to read a book on the sofa by the fire, catch a large mouth bass in the yard or by kayak or white water raft off of a waterfall the choice is yours at the Compass Rose.

Wildlife galore (black bear, dear, turkey), hiking, kayaking, Foothills Trail, Palmetto Trail, Sassafras Mountain, Victoria Valley Vineyards, waterfalls, and so much more! We have stocked our home with games, movies, books, and we hope you enjoy your stay! The space This is a second home for us and we try to keep it stocked with essentials for ourselves and our guests. We live on a small farm in Pickens County near by and we try to keep you stocked with staples that are nice to have when grocery stores are not as close by. However, Holly Springs Grocery/Gas Station is just down the mountain. Feel free to use what you need. We also have hiking hammocks, bug spray, flash lights, dvds, books, toys for kids, and a first aid kit for your use. Please Note: our cabin is literally in the middle of the wilderness and there is no internet or cell phone reception. We do have a house phone on site for emergencies or if you need to make contact with us or other guests. Guest access You will have full access to the 7 acres of our property and the 50,000 acres of DNR Wildlife management area and trails. Some hills are a little steep when walking up so please use caution. Also, we recommend carrying bear spray, compass, and being prepared as much as possible. It is very easy to get turned around. Our property lines are marked with orange flags. Interaction with guests If at anytime you have questions feel free to reach out. We have supplied maps, area information, sites of interest, etc. there onsite. Permanently fixed older model camper with nice attached porch. Property overlooks a small pond and well maintained goat farm. Inside the living room has two comfortable chairs and foot stools. The kitchen features a cozy dinette with seating for four that will also convert into a single bed. There is a stove, oven, microwave and refrigerator. Also provided is a coffee pot along with coffee, filters, cream and sugar. All your cooking and dining necessities as well as towels and cleaning products provided. Bathroom is stocked with towels and washcloths. Bedroom has a full size bed with plenty of closet storage and clothes hangers, extra linens for the beds as well as an iron for clothes.
